Goaso is the capital of the Ahafo Region, a small and friendly town on the road between Kumasi and Sunyani. Among the places to visit in Goaso are the lively central market, the surrounding cocoa farms and the nearby forest patches where birdlife is easy to spot. It is an easy, authentic stop for travellers who like to meet farming families and taste fresh cocoa pods.
