Port Victoria tour packages visit a fishing town on the shores of Lake Victoria, where wooden boats land Nile perch and tilapia each morning. The fish market is busy, and boat trips go to nearby islands and bird-rich wetlands. The surrounding Budalang’i floodplain is green with rice and vegetables. Simple guesthouses are available. It is about 30 kilometres from Busia town on a paved road.
