Iten tour packages revolve around the small town famous as the training home of many of the world’s best long-distance runners. Visitors can join group runs at dawn, visit the Kenyan running camps, and tour the Lornah Kiplagat Training Centre. The thin air at 2,400 metres is exciting for runners, and the lively cafes are full of athletes. Iten is about 45 minutes from Eldoret on the road to Kerio Valley.
