Laikipia County tour packages cover a high plateau of savannah and private conservancies north of Mount Kenya, with some of Kenya’s best conservation work. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the home of the last northern white rhinos, a chimpanzee sanctuary and wild dogs, while neighbouring ranches offer horse riding and walking safaris.Nanyuki sits right on the equator with views of Mount Kenya, and Nyahururu has the cascading Thomson’s Falls. The cool, high-altitude air makes it pleasant all year.
