Lukenya Hills tour packages offer a popular weekend escape for climbers, hikers and campers, only 30 minutes south-east of Nairobi. Granite outcrops, caves, and rock faces draw climbing clubs, while easy trails give views across the Athi-Kapiti plains. Prehistoric sites are scattered across the hills. Campsites and small guesthouses are available, and sunrise walks are especially nice. Take water, sunscreen and sturdy shoes.
