Taita-Taveta County tour packages are all about Tsavo, Kenya’s biggest wildlife wilderness. Tsavo West National Park has lava flows, rocky hills and the crystal-clear pools of Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles can be viewed from an underwater hide. Tsavo East is flatter and famed for the red-dusted elephants and the Galana River. The Taita Hills hold private sanctuaries and Lake Jipe and Lake Chala sit on the Tanzanian border. Mount Kilimanjaro is often visible from Tsavo West on clear mornings.
