Imlil tour packages lead to a mountain village at about 1,740 m, the main starting point for the ascent of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak at 4,167 m. Terraced walnut orchards, stone houses and guesthouses sit under the High Atlas peaks, and guided walks of all lengths set out from the village. Trekking is possible from spring to autumn, and snow covers the summit in winter. Imlil lies roughly two hours from Marrakech.
