June to October is the dry season and the best for wildlife in Nyerere and Mikumi. The Udzungwa forests are lush from November to May.
Two to three nights suit Nyerere National Park or Mikumi. Add a day for Udzungwa or the Uluguru Mountains.
Mikumi is about 4 to 5 hours by road from Dar es Salaam, and Nyerere is 5 to 6 hours or a short flight from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. Morogoro town is 3 hours away.
