Logar tourism is closely tied to Mes Aynak, a remarkable Buddhist archaeological site that lies above one of the world’s largest copper deposits. The province, just south of Kabul, is a fertile agricultural region along the Logar River, known for its apples, wheat and cattle. The capital Pul-i-Alam is a small market town and gateway to the south-east. Visitors are few, facilities are simple and conditions are rural. Late spring and autumn are comfortable seasons. Most governments, including India’s, currently advise against travel to Logar, so check official advisories before making any plans.

Mes Aynak holds a Buddhist monastery complex dating from roughly the 2nd to the 7th century, with stupas, statues and murals found by archaeologists.
Logar is about 60 km south of Kabul, so travellers would first fly to Kabul. Official advisories currently discourage travel, so check them first.
