Heilongjiang tour packages lead to China’s far north-east, famous for its snow. Harbin hosts the world-renowned International Ice and Snow Festival each winter and has Russian-style churches and streets from its past as a railway city. The Yabuli ski area draws winter-sports lovers, and in China’s northernmost town of Mohe you can sometimes see the northern lights in summer. Winters drop below minus 30 degrees, so packing warm is essential. Visit from December to February for ice and in July for green forests.
