Terracotta Army tour packages bring you to the vast burial complex of Qin Shi Huang, where thousands of life-size clay soldiers, horses and chariots stand in battle formation. Found by farmers in 1974, it is a UNESCO site about 40 kilometres from Xi’an. Three main pits and the bronze chariots exhibit are the highlights. Arrive early and plan about three hours.
