May to October is the drier season and suits boat travel to the Togean Islands. The wet season can interrupt ferries and road travel.
Allow at least five to seven days. Getting to the Togeans takes a full day each way.
Fly to Jakarta, Makassar or Manado and continue to Palu or Luwuk. From there, boats or ferries run to the Togean Islands and roads lead on to Tentena and Lore Lindu.
