April to November is the dry season, ideal for Komodo cruises and Flores road trips. December to March brings heavy rain and rough seas.

Fly to Bali or Jakarta and take a domestic flight to Labuan Bajo's Komodo Airport, which takes about an hour and a half from Bali. Sumba and Kupang are also reached by flights from Bali.
