Wayag Islands tour packages reach the most photographed view in Raja Ampat, a cluster of jagged limestone islets with a turquoise lagoon. A steep climb up the viewpoint stairs shows the whole scene, and boats then circle the islets for swimming and snorkelling. Wayag lies far to the north of Waigeo, so the boat journey takes several hours from Waisai or an overnight liveaboard. The sea is calmest between October and April.
