Alagol Lake is a freshwater lake on the Turkmen steppe near the Turkmenistan border, with two companion lakes called Almagol and Ajigol. It is a major bird sanctuary, and on its shores Turkmen families set up yurts in spring and summer. Visitors can see traditional felt tents, try local food and watch horse riding.
