Sinbad Island is a small, tree-covered island in the Shatt al-Arab, named after Sinbad the Sailor, who in the Arabian Nights set out on his voyages from Basra. A park with statues and walkways has been developed here, and boat rides pass the old shipyards. It is a peaceful spot for evening walks and photography.
