Okayama tour packages are known as the land of sunshine, with mild weather and little rain for most of the year. Kurashiki is a charming merchant town of white-walled storehouses and willow-lined canals, Okayama City has the Korakuen garden, counted among Japan’s three great gardens, and a black castle, and Bizen is a pottery village with a thousand-year kiln tradition. Peaches and muscat grapes are grown here in season. Okayama is a Shinkansen stop and the gateway to Shikoku and the art island of Naoshima, so it also suits trips combining art and heritage.
