Kedah tour packages are mostly about Langkawi, a duty-free archipelago of 99 islands off the northwest coast, with white beaches at Pantai Cenang, the Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge, and mangrove tours in the Kilim Geoforest Park. On the mainland, Alor Setar keeps royal heritage and the paddy fields of Malaysia’s rice bowl, while Gunung Jerai rises above ancient Bujang Valley temple sites. Langkawi is reached by direct flights and ferries, and November to April is the best season.

November to April is the drier, sunnier period for Langkawi. The southwest monsoon from May to October brings showers but also lower prices.
Three to four days cover the beaches, cable car and island hopping. Add a day for Alor Setar if you visit the mainland.
Fly to Kuala Lumpur or Penang and take a one-hour domestic flight to Langkawi International Airport. A ferry from Kuala Perlis or Kuala Kedah is another option.
