Basco is the capital of Batanes and the base for most visitors to the province. Highlights on the main island include the cliff-top Naidi Hills lighthouse, the sweeping Vatang Lighthouse views, the rolling Marlboro Hills pastures, and the traditional stone houses of nearby villages. Bicycles and tricycles are the usual way to travel, and the sea breeze keeps temperatures mild. Two days here let you see the main island properly.
