Moalboal is a small coastal town on Cebu’s south-west coast, famous for the sardine run, where millions of fish form a swirling ball close to shore. Snorkellers can swim from the beach and often spot turtles, while divers explore the nearby reef wall. The famous turquoise Kawasan Falls in Badian can be reached on a day trip, with canyoneering as an option. Plan two or three nights, and note that the road from Cebu City takes about three hours.
