Western Visayas tour packages begin with Boracay, the white-sand island that remains the Philippines’ best-known beach resort. Beyond it, the region offers heritage and food: Iloilo City has grand Spanish-era churches and famous batchoy noodles, Bacolod is the home of sweet treats and the MassKara Festival, and the mango island of Guimaras is a short ferry ride away. Silay in Negros Occidental is full of ancestral sugar mansions. The region suits beach lovers and food enthusiasts alike, and a week allows both.

Visa required (visa-free only with certain valid US, Schengen, Japan, Australia, Canada or Singapore visas)
November to May is dry and ideal for Boracay, with March to May the hottest and busiest months. Heavy rain and strong winds arrive from June to October.
Three to four nights suit Boracay, and adding Iloilo, Guimaras and Bacolod needs another three or four days.
Fly from Manila to Caticlan or Kalibo, then take a short transfer and boat across to Boracay. Caticlan is closer, but flights are limited, so book early.
