Elephant Rock, or Jabal AlFil, is a huge sandstone formation in AlUla shaped by wind into the form of an elephant, with a gap that looks like the trunk. It stands about 52 metres high and sits in an open desert area where tables and lounges are set up at sunset for tea and dinner. The surrounding landscape glows in orange and red as the light fades. Elephant Rock tour packages are short sunset stops that fit neatly into any AlUla itinerary.
