Kalasin tour packages are best known for dinosaurs and silk. At Phu Kum Khao, in Sahatsakhan district, fossils of a sauropod were uncovered, and the Sirindhorn Museum displays dinosaur bones and a replica skeleton. Kalasin is also famed for prasat silk, woven in the pattern of the sinh cloth, and visitors can buy it at markets and workshops. Lam Pao Dam provides a large lake for boating and fish dinners. The province is calm and rural, with temples and farm life that make a restful stop on an Isan road trip.
