November to February is cool and dry, which is best for the bridge, caves and train. Erawan Falls are at their most vivid from late rainy season, around September to December.
Two days and one night is the usual plan, which allows time for the bridge, the railway ride and Erawan. A third day suits Sai Yok or Hellfire Pass.
Fly into Bangkok from India, then drive about 2 to 2.5 hours west to Kanchanaburi. A slow scenic train also runs from Thonburi station.
