Songkhla tour packages cover a busy southern province with a Sino-Portuguese old town, lakeside views and a lively business city. Hat Yai is the region’s shopping and food hub, popular with visitors from Malaysia, while Songkhla Old Town has restored shophouses, street art and seafood. Samila Beach is known for the Golden Mermaid statue, and the large Songkhla Lake supports fishing villages. Many governments advise against travel to some southern districts of Songkhla near the Pattani border, so check current official advice and avoid those areas.

February to September is the drier period for the Gulf coast. November to January brings the heaviest rain and some flooding.
Two to three days cover Hat Yai, Songkhla Old Town and the lakeside. A day trip to nearby Satun or Phatthalung is also possible.
Fly into Bangkok from India and take a domestic flight to Hat Yai, about 1 hour 25 minutes. Hat Yai is also connected by train and road to Bangkok.
