Yozgat tourism covers a quiet Central Anatolian province, a rolling plateau of wheat fields and pine forests. The town has the baroque-style Çapanoğlu Mosque, a reminder of the wealthy Çapanoğlu family who ruled the area in the 18th century, and a small bazaar. On the edge of the town, Çamlık National Park is a pine forest with picnic areas and trails, and at Sarıkaya the Roman baths still hold hot springs. Yozgat is known for its testi kebab, a meat dish cooked in a clay pot. It makes a practical stop between Ankara, Çorum and Cappadocia.
