Sharjah tour packages appeal to travellers who like culture, museums and calm family evenings. The emirate is the UAE’s cultural capital, with more than twenty museums, the restored Heart of Sharjah heritage quarter and the glass-fronted Al Noor Island butterfly house. Alcohol is not sold here, and dress codes are slightly stricter, which many families appreciate. On the east coast, the exclave of Khor Fakkan offers clear water and mountain views, and the desert near Mleiha has archaeological sites and stargazing camps. Sharjah is only about thirty minutes from Dubai, so it works as either a base or a day trip.

November to March has the most comfortable weather for walking tours and the coast. Summer is very hot, but Sharjah's museums are air-conditioned and hotel prices are lower.
Sharjah is quieter, more traditional and usually cheaper than Dubai, and is particularly good for culture and children's museums. Many Indian travellers combine the two, as the cities are close and well connected by road.
One day covers the main museums and Al Noor Island, and two days allow you to add Khor Fakkan and Mleiha. Staying in Sharjah while exploring Dubai is also a popular budget option.
