My Son is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Champa kingdom built brick temples dedicated to Hindu god Shiva from the 4th to the 13th century. Indian travellers may find the Shiva lingams, Sanskrit inscriptions and temple forms familiar. The ruins sit in a green valley and some were damaged in war. Visit in the morning for cooler weather and traditional Apsara dance shows. It is about an hour from Hoi An.
