Kim Lien is the village in Nam Dan district where Ho Chi Minh was born and spent his early childhood. Visitors see his birthplace, a simple thatched house, as well as the Sen Village home of his mother’s family and a museum of his life. The surrounding fields and lotus ponds give a feeling of rural northern Vietnam. A visit takes an hour or two, and the village is about 15 kilometres from Vinh.
