Tirana County tour packages usually begin in the capital, a compact city of brightly painted apartment blocks, street cafés, galleries and lively nightlife around the Blloku district. Beyond the centre, the Dajti Ekspres cable car lifts visitors to the pine slopes of Mount Dajti, and the hilltop Petrela Castle looks out over farmland.
