Setúbal District tour packages cover the coast and hills south of the Tagus, an easy escape from Lisbon. June to September is warm and best for beaches, with the sea at its mildest in late summer. Spring is good for walking in Arrábida.

Fly to Lisbon and cross the Tagus by road or ferry, reaching Sesimbra or Setúbal in around 45 minutes. A car is the easiest way to see the coast.
