Galicia tour packages lead to Spain’s green northwest, famous as the destination of the Camino de Santiago. Santiago de Compostela and its cathedral draw pilgrims from around the world, while the Rías Baixas coast offers sheltered estuaries, white beaches and fresh shellfish. A Coruña has the Roman Tower of Hercules, still the world’s oldest working lighthouse. Seafood, Albariño wine and misty hills define the region. Four days cover the main sights. June to September is the driest period, but expect rain at other times.
