La Rioja tour packages are for wine lovers who want a quiet corner of Spain. The Ebro valley produces the country’s best-known red wines, and old bodegas, from family cellars to modern architect-designed wineries, welcome visitors for tastings. Logroño is the capital, famous for the tapas street Calle Laurel, while Haro hosts the Wine Battle each June. Two days are enough. Harvest time in late September and October is the most atmospheric time to visit.
