June to September has the best weather for the coast, Cornwall and the Cotswolds. Bath is pleasant in spring and autumn, with Christmas markets in December.

Trains run from London Paddington to Bath in about 90 minutes and Bristol in roughly 100 minutes. Stonehenge and the Cotswolds are easiest by car or guided tour.
