June to December is whale season at Península Valdés, with September to November the peak. Penguins are at Punta Tombo from September to March.

Fly to Buenos Aires via a Gulf or European hub and take a domestic flight of around two hours to Trelew or Puerto Madryn. Península Valdés is about 90 minutes by road from Puerto Madryn.
