Mendoza tour packages are built on wine, snow-capped mountains and sunshine at the foot of the Andes. The capital Mendoza has leafy plazas and wine bars, while Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley produce the world-famous Malbec. Highway 7 climbs through Uspallata to Aconcagua Provincial Park, home to the highest peak in the Americas, and San Rafael offers canyon rafting. The harvest is in March, and the skies are clearest from March to November.

March to May is the grape harvest with golden vineyards, while September to November is pleasant and green. Winter from June to August brings snow to the high Andes and skiing.
Three to four days cover wineries and the high Andes road. Add two days for San Rafael or the Uco Valley.
Fly to Buenos Aires via a Gulf or European hub, then take a domestic flight of about two hours to Mendoza. Santiago in Chile is another entry point, about a four-hour drive away.
