Espírito Santo tour packages are a good fit for travellers who want a quieter side of southeastern Brazil, with beaches, mountains and Italian and German heritage. The capital Vitória is partly an island city with calm bays, while Guarapari is a classic seaside resort known for its monazite sand. Inland, Domingos Martins and the hills around Pedra Azul bring cool air, hiking and farm-fresh coffee. The state is easy to combine with Rio de Janeiro or Bahia, and the weather is best from May to September.

May to September is dry and sunny, ideal for both beaches and mountain hikes. Summer, from December to February, is hot and busy at the coast.
Three days cover Vitória and Guarapari. Add two days if you want to include the mountain region of Pedra Azul.
Fly to São Paulo or Rio via a Gulf or European hub, then take a one-hour domestic flight to Vitória. Rio is also about eight hours away by road.
