Goiás tour packages explore the heart of Brazil’s cerrado, with waterfalls, hot springs and some of the country’s best-preserved colonial towns. The Chapada dos Veadeiros national park has canyons, pools and crystal-rich hills, while Pirenópolis and the old capital Cidade de Goiás offer cobbled streets and baroque churches. Caldas Novas is known for its thermal water. The state is within easy reach of Brasília, and the dry months from May to September are the most comfortable for hiking.

May to September is dry and best for waterfall walks and hikes. The rainy season from November to March fills the falls but can make trails slippery.
Three days cover Pirenópolis and Cidade de Goiás. Add three more for the Chapada dos Veadeiros trails.
Fly to São Paulo or Rio via a Gulf or European hub and continue to Brasília, which is the usual gateway. Pirenópolis is about three hours by road and Chapada dos Veadeiros about three and a half.
