Wyoming tour packages are headlined by Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park, where Old Faithful erupts on schedule and bison, elk and bears roam geyser basins and canyons. To the south, the jagged peaks of Grand Teton National Park rise above lakes, and Jackson is a Western-themed gateway town. In the north-east, Devils Tower National Monument is a striking rock column. Wyoming is the least populated state, so crowds are small outside the main parks. Summer is the high season, with roads fully open from late May to October, and winter brings snow-coach tours and skiing.

June to September is best for Yellowstone and Grand Teton, with September quieter and good for wildlife. Winter offers snowmobile and snow-coach tours, but most roads close.
Four to five days cover Yellowstone and Grand Teton together. Add a day for Jackson and another for Devils Tower.
Fly to Jackson Hole Airport via a US hub such as Denver or Salt Lake City, or to Bozeman in Montana for Yellowstone's northern and western gates. Salt Lake City is about five hours from Jackson by road.
