Machakos County tour packages are an easy escape from Nairobi into the green hills of the Kamba. Machakos town has a lively market and Kamba craft stalls, while Lukenya Hills offers rock climbing, hiking and picnic spots with views of the Athi plains. Mua Hills has ridge-top viewpoints, and the Machakos People’s Park has gardens and a lake.Masinga Dam is a favourite for fishing and birdwatching. The county also holds the Konza Technopolis, but it is best known to visitors for its relaxed weekend getaways.
