January to February and June to October are dry and ideal for game drives. The long rains in April and May are wet, but hotels are cheaper and the park is green.
Two nights are enough for Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre and the elephant orphanage. Most travellers use the city as a start or end point for safaris.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has direct and one-stop flights from Mumbai and Delhi, and the flying time is about five to six hours. Taxis and hotel transfers connect the airport to the city and Karen.
