Apo Reef Natural Park offers some of the best snorkelling in the country. Most visitors combine Palawan with Manila or Cebu and allow at least a week.

November to May is the dry season and best for El Nido and Coron, with the calmest seas from February to April. Rains from June to October bring rough seas and reduced boat tours.
Five to seven days cover El Nido and Puerto Princesa, and adding Coron needs about three more. Puerto Galera works as a two or three day add-on.
There are direct flights from Manila to Puerto Princesa, El Nido and Coron's Busuanga airport. Transfers from Puerto Princesa to El Nido take roughly five to six hours by road.
