Dong Nai tour packages cover the industrial and forested hinterland north-east of Ho Chi Minh City, now combined with the former Binh Phuoc province. The star attraction is Cat Tien National Park, a UNESCO biosphere reserve with rainforest, a bear and primate rescue centre and a famous crocodile lake. Tri An Lake is a large reservoir for boating, while Bu Gia Map National Park offers forest walks near the Cambodian border. Bien Hoa has pagodas and a lively food scene. The province is an easy overnight trip from Saigon, taking about two to three hours by road.
