December to April is dry, with cranes at Tram Chim from January to May. Sa Dec flowers peak before Tet in January or February, and lotus blooms in summer.

My Tho is about 70 kilometres, or around 90 minutes, from Ho Chi Minh City by road. Day tours depart daily from the city.
