Ho Chi Minh City tour packages start in Vietnam’s biggest city, still called Saigon by many, a fast-moving mix of French boulevards, glass towers, markets and street food. District 1 holds the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the War Remnants Museum, while Cho Lon is the old Chinese quarter. Following the merger with Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Duong, the city now reaches the coast, adding the beach town of Vung Tau, the quiet Con Dao Islands and Can Gio mangroves. The Cu Chi Tunnels make an easy day trip, and the city is Vietnam’s main gateway from India.
