Vinh Long tour packages cover the quieter, greener side of the Mekong Delta, now combined with Ben Tre and Tra Vinh. Visitors cruise canals shaded by coconut palms, stay in homestays on An Binh Island, and shop at the Cai Be Floating Market. Ben Tre, known as the land of coconuts, has candy workshops and rowing boat rides, while Tra Vinh is a Khmer heartland with ornate pagodas. The area is peaceful and good for cycling and tasting tropical fruit. It is about two to three hours from Ho Chi Minh City.
