County Kerry tour packages are the classic Irish scenic trip, with mountains, lakes and sea in every direction. Killarney is the starting point for the Ring of Kerry, a 179-kilometre drive around the Iveragh Peninsula, while the Dingle Peninsula has colourful harbour life and Gaelic culture. Off the coast, the rocky Skellig Michael holds a remote monastery from the sixth century. Kerry is the most visited part of Ireland’s south-west, so book accommodation early in summer. The scenery is at its best on clear mornings.
