The Madinah Region combines the second holiest city in Islam with one of Saudi Arabia’s finest heritage destinations. Madinah, home to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, is a key stop on Umrah itineraries, with the core area reserved for Muslims. Further north lies AlUla, an oasis town surrounded by sandstone canyons, home to the UNESCO-listed tombs of Hegra and the sculpted Elephant Rock. The Red Sea port of Yanbu adds diving and a historic old town, so the region offers both pilgrimage and leisure routes for Indian travellers.
